Then they put some of the entries on their big screen TVs in the bar. Customers seem to get a kick out of it. 

You could also offer a prize to the winner, such as a free product or service or a discount on their next purchase. This type of contest can generate a lot of engagement and user-generated content, as well as help build brand loyalty and awareness. 

2. Share User-Generated Content 

Showcase your customers on your social media channels by reposting and sharing their content that’s related to your business. This will help build community and engagement around your brand. A restaurant in my town re-posted pictures of their regular customers eating with their moms on Mother’s Day. You can do something similar on Social Media Day. 

Or search for your brand’s hashtag or username on various social media platforms to find user-generated content to share. By sharing customers’ content, you show your appreciation and build a sense of community. It also serves as social proof, as potential customers can see how others are using and enjoying your product or service. Just be sure to ask for permission before reposting someone else’s content and give them proper credit.

Your business can create a hashtag campaign to encourage your followers to post about a specific topic related to your business.
