Client Profile

Lowenstein Sandler, an AmLaw 200 law firm with more than 275 attorneys, represents public and private companies, financial institutions, investors, entrepreneurs, universities, and private clients in corporate and litigation matters across the globe. Lowenstein Sandler attorneys are constantly immersed in evolving business and legislative developments that impact the industries driving the economy.

The Challenge

Lowenstein Sandler is a nationally recognized law firm with a passion for understanding its clients’ needs and providing key counsel in every represented case. However, when it came to managing multiple offices, Lowenstein Sandler was hindered by an outdated system that required manual time and labor tracking via paper records. This laborious process required more than 250 manual entries; any errors could only be corrected through complex data verification processes. Lowenstein Sandler needed an HCM solution that would eliminate paperwork, increase company productivity, and provide market-leading technology with minimal IT investment.

The Solution

Lowenstein Sandler required a cutting-edge time and labor management platform. Even more challenging, the finance department required an easy-to-use solution capable of integrating with its current payroll provider. The firm evaluated many hosted and on-demand solutions, but ultimately settled on AsureForce Time & Labor Management due to the cost benefits associated with web-based solutions.

AsureForce Time tailored its system to Lowenstein Sandler’s needs, ensuring accurate capturing, reporting, and transferring of all employee data. Employees could now easily clock in and out online and manage their personal information, such as time off balances, schedules, and attendance history. AsureForce Time & Labor Management worked seamlessly with Lowenstein Sandler’s internal HR management systems and payroll provider to increase operational efficiency.

The Results

Upon deployment, Lowenstein Sandler saw immediate gains in productivity and reduced payroll costs. “AsureForce Time & Labor Management allowed HR to shift the burden of maintaining and updating employee records across the entire organization,” said Patricia Sost, Secretarial Services Manager for Lowenstein Sandler. “AsureForce Time provided huge time savings and increased our ability to easily view time-off balances and attendance history.”

By adopting a Web-based solution to time and attendance tracking, Lowenstein Sandler was able to meet the demands of a growing company and increase the timeliness and accuracy of its payroll process without investing in IT resources. With its days of paper-based, manual processes a distant memory, Lowenstein Sandler concentrates on driving costs down and accelerating the business forward.
